Dr. Russell J. Toppi
Orthodontist

Dr. Russell Toppi completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst before attending Tufts University School of Dentistry, where he received his D.M.D. in 1992. Four years later, Dr. Toppi completed his orthodontic residency at Columbia University.
In practice for 20 years, Dr. Toppi stays abreast of the latest advances in orthodontics with memberships in the San Diego County Dental Society, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and the San Diego Academy of Orthodontists where he served as president in 2006.
Board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Toppi is married with two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys running.

Kelley joined our office early 2025 and has been in the dental field for over 22 years working both as a back office assistant and front desk. She is passionate about helping every patient maximize their insurance benefits and making sure the financial side runs as smooth as possible. Outside the office, Kelley loves spending her weekends with her family and cherishes that time together.

Meet Madi! At 23, she recently moved to San Diego from Ohio in 2024. Madi plans to attend dental school and become an orthodontist. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the local restaurant scene and traveling across the U.S.

Meet Michalana! A proud california native from Carlsbad, Michalana has been working in the dental field since 2022. She is passionate about helping patients achieve their healthiest, most confident smiles. Outside of the office Mich enjoys spending time at dog-friendly beaches, exploring local farmers markets, and attending music festivals.
