Dr. Russell J. Toppi

Dr. Russell Toppi completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst before attending Tufts University School of Dentistry, where he received his D.M.D. in 1992. Four years later, Dr. Toppi completed his orthodontic residency at Columbia University.
In practice for 20 years, Dr. Toppi stays abreast of the latest advances in orthodontics with memberships in the San Diego County Dental Society, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and the San Diego Academy of Orthodontists where he served as president in 2006.
Board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics, Dr. Toppi is married with two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys running.

Treatment Coordinator

Kim, our treatment coordinator, joined the team in late 2020. Kim's grandpa was a dentist, and her sister is a dental hygienist so she knew she would join the field eventually. She’s dedicated to keeping the schedule running smoothly and ensuring that patients and their families leave happy. Outside of work, Kim loves visiting Disneyland and watching movies at home.

Ortho Assistant

Meet Madi, our new ortho assistant! At 23, she recently moved to San Diego from Ohio in 2024. Madi plans to attend dental school and become an orthodontist. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the local restaurant scene and traveling across the U.S.

Yaya
Ortho Assistant

Yaya is the office's ortho assistant, joining the team in 2023. At 22 years old, she has lived in San Diego her entire life. In her free time, Yaya loves fishing and exploring new foods. She’s excited to be part of the office and looks forward to helping patients with a smile!
